Yuck. Honey gave me his sickness. I'm coughing, sneezing, wheezing and my nose is all stuffy and my eyes are all watery and burning. How nice!!! I have been gung ho to do some housekeeping here at home today since it's my day off but the more I'm awake here, the more I think I might just take it easy today. lol. i've been up since 4:30 and I'm about to get the boy up for school but I'm convinced once he leaves for school, I am gonna hit my recliner for just a little while. lol.
There hasn't been so much sewing going on here at all lately. I'm going to quit making plans to work on stuff because it never seems to happen or work out the way I plan. It gets frustrating to me. All I want to do is finish that table runner I started a week or so ago. I finally took the Flower Garden pictures off the blog here because I'm walking away from that one for a moment. Having it plastered all over my blog as a work in progress just re-iterated what a loser I am everytime I look at it. lol. So, poof-it's gone. lol.
I hope everyone is doing well with their families and you're sewing away. I wish I could find a good balance. It's getting that time of year now when time seems to get even more precious and we have less and less of it for ourselves. Honey and me just had a talk Sunday about trying to work more together on stuff so that each of us individually aren't running around here like chickens with our heads cut off never seeming to accomplish anything. Life is too short to be wasting time. In fact, I'm considering making some major changes around here so that we can focus on what is really important to us, which is the family and being together. I just need to figure out the financial means to do it. And with the trouble this world is in now, my hope of doing it fades a little more each day. I think I'm just destined to work for the man and keep running in to walls and falling down and getting up and running into them again. lol. It's sad when your focus becomes all about money and getting by versus enjoying your family for what they are every minute of every day. One day it will happen. lol.
I have some major reading to catch up on as well. I have compiled what I consider a great list of blogs to visit and I find all kinds of inspiration from reading them but it has been several days since I've been able to sit down and catch up with everyone. I hope everyone is doing well. And I'm anxious to see what everyone is working on. It's always something new and evolving. I love it.
Here's hoping everyone has a great day.
Happy Quilting,
Renee

I hope your feeling better! I know what you mean about family being most important. It is so hard though in today's world to just get by!
thanks sara. i wish i could say i was better but all my symptoms are still here. yuck. lol. i guess i was just wanting to whine the other day. all of us are pretty much in the same boat really. thanks for your kind words. have a good night.
Hi Renee I hope you are feeling better. I think everyone is feeling the financial crunch. I try and plan my errands in a big bunch and do it so I save the most distance. We just came home tonight and gas is $2.69 here. I can't believe I'm excited about still paying that much, but it is better than the $4.19 we were up to there for awhile. It is hard to balance family and everything else I know. I hope you are able to find that happy medium somewhere. And, now that you've said you took down the picture of the flower garden, I don't remember it. If you look at the banner in my blog, that flower garden was made for me by my Grandma. She was born in 1888 so she quilted back when there were no quilt shops and she was cutting up her house dresses and aprons for quilt pieces. I treasure that quilt. I keep buying those paper hexagons and sew fabric to a few of them once in awhile but never seem to actually put a quilt top together. Someday. Hope you're doing ok. I'll be thinking about you.
